God’s mission always moves us beyond the walls of our church.
Through our missional partnerships, Trinity joins with people and organizations serving our neighbours here in Sarnia-Lambton and communities around the world. These relationships give us opportunities to serve, pray, learn, build relationships, and share generously from what God has entrusted to us.
Some of these partnerships are close to home. Others reach across cultures and borders. Each is an opportunity to participate in the work God is already doing, bringing hope, dignity, healing, belonging, and the love of Christ into the lives of others.
The Inn of the Good Shepherd has been serving individuals and families throughout Sarnia-Lambton for more than 40 years. It is much more than a food bank: through food, shelter, practical assistance, and compassionate support, The Inn walks alongside neighbours facing some of life’s most difficult circumstances.
Its ministries include the food bank and soup kitchen, emergency and transitional shelter, rent and utility assistance, the Mobile Market, children and youth programs, income-tax clinics, and other practical supports. At the heart of this work is a commitment to treat every person with dignity and respect.
Trinity has a longstanding relationship with The Inn, including serving meals, supporting special programs, giving financially, and responding to needs within our community. Through this partnership, we have the privilege of caring for our neighbours right here at home.
Donations to the food bank can be made through a designated fund at Trinity. Your gifts to The Inn help provide food, shelter, support, and hope to people throughout our community. You can also participate through prayer, volunteering, and Trinity’s opportunities to serve alongside The Inn.
Everyone needs a place to call home—and a community in which they can belong.
Indwell provides supportive and affordable housing for people who have experienced homelessness, housing instability, and other significant challenges. Here in Sarnia, its prospective work downtown provides Trinity with a tangible opportunity to participate in a compassionate local response to homelessness.
Our partnership is about more than buildings. A furnished apartment becomes a home: a place of safety, stability, dignity, and new possibility. Approximately $3,500 can furnish one apartment for a new resident.
Donations can be made to Indwell through a designated fund at Trinity. Your gift helps provide the practical things a person needs as they begin life in a new home. Together, we can help create spaces of welcome, dignity, stability, and belonging for our neighbours.
Through Compassion, Trinity has the opportunity to walk alongside children, families, churches, and community leaders in Haiti.
Compassion’s model works through local churches, recognizing that lasting ministry is rooted in people who know and love their own communities. Our partnership connects us with children in Haiti while supporting the wider work of local Haitian leaders who care for children and families in the midst of significant challenges.
This relationship reminds us that mission is not simply about sending help from one place to another. It is about belonging to one Body of Christ, praying for one another and sharing what God has given us.
Donations can be made to Compassion through a designated fund at Trinity. Your gifts help sustain our commitment to the children we support and the local ministry surrounding them. We also invite you to pray for our sponsored children, their families, Haitian church leaders, and the communities they serve.
For decades, Stephen and Peggy Foster have served in Angola through SIM, and Trinity has had the privilege of walking alongside them in their ministry.
Stephen’s work has centred especially on healthcare and the development of CEML—the Centro Evangélico de Medicina do Lubango. Today, that work includes caring for people with limited access to medical services, expanding the hospital’s capacity, and helping train Angolan and African surgeons who will serve communities for years to come.
Peggy’s ministry has included education, music, Bible study, discipleship, and hospitality—building relationships and creating spaces in which people can learn, grow, and experience Christian community.
Our relationship with Stephen and Peggy is more than financial support. It is a continuing friendship in mission, joining them through prayer, encouragement, generosity, and a shared commitment to what God is doing in Angola.
Donations can be made to Compassion through a designated fund at Trinity. Your gifts help support their continuing work in Angola, including healthcare, leadership development, discipleship, education, and hospitality. We invite you to give and to pray for Stephen and Peggy, their colleagues, the emerging leaders they are helping equip, and the communities they serve.
Through Shelter Canada, Trinity is developing a cross-cultural relationship with communities in El Salvador, where Canadian teams work alongside Salvadoran partners to build safe and secure homes for families in need.
In November 2026, three members from Trinity are joining a larger team travelling to El Salvador, a team comprised of different local churches from different denominations (EMC, Presbyterian, and Anglican). Together, the team will work alongside local communities as part of an eight-day build of 24 homes. For Trinity, this is more than a building project. It is an opportunity to listen, learn, serve, pray, and discover what an ongoing relationship with our partners in El Salvador might become.
Each Trinity participant is raising $4,000—the approximate cost of providing one home for a family.
Donations can be made through a designated fund at Trinity. Your gift helps make this mission possible and supports the work of providing safe homes for families in El Salvador. Just as importantly, we invite you to pray for the families, communities, local partners, and team members involved as these relationships continue to grow.
Mission begins with recognizing that God is already at work—in our neighbourhoods and around the world—and asking how we might join in.
Through The Inn of the Good Shepherd, Shelter Canada, Indwell, Haiti Compassion, and Stephen and Peggy Foster in Angola, our parish is connected with people serving in very different places and circumstances. What holds these partnerships together is not simply a collection of projects. It is relationship: with our neighbours, with our partners, with local churches, and with sisters and brothers in Christ across cultures and borders. Together, we can use what God has entrusted to us for the sake of our neighbours and join in God’s mission—within our walls, beyond our walls, and wherever Christ leads us.
Your generosity helps to extend Christ’s love through these ministries, both near and far. Please consider making a gift to support the work that we share with our mission partners.
