Last December, a small group at Trinity felt led to provide socks for guests at the Inn of the Good Shepherd, and the parish responded wonderfully. After speaking with the Inn’s leadership, we’re expanding our Christmas sock outreach this year (see insert for more information).
Along with socks, the Inn welcomes:
- Gloves, hats
- Toiletries (deodorant, toothbrush, toothpaste)
- Small puzzle books
- Gum or candy
- Tim cards
- A note or greeting card
Instead of stuffing socks this year, please place socks and any added items in one large Ziploc bag per person. Bring donations to Trinity throughout Advent, and we’ll offer a prayer of blessing for all the packages on Christmas Eve at the 6:30pm service.
This is a simple, practical way to bless those in need this Advent and Christmas season. Thank you for your prayers and generosity!
