For those unable to meet in person we will be live streaming the study, Wednesdays at 10am. We will also have a recording of the study available below after the meeting.
Advent Bible Study and Sermon Series
Trinity Anglican Church, Sarnia
The four-week season of Advent opens the Church year, and prepares us for the coming of our Saviour, Jesus, at Christmas, and at
the conclusion of history. Our times include a lot of yearning for the world to be better and different. Advent is a season in which,
in the midst of winter darkness we long and pray for God to come and right all that is wrong with this broken world.
In Advent this year we will have a church-wide Bible Study (led by Canon Vicars Hodge) and a related sermon series by our Rector,
Rev. Musa Daba. The Bible Studies will be an opportunity to think about some of the themes that characterize Advent using 4 Old
Testament Advent Lessons. The sermon series take that topic deeper exploring the theme using primarily Gospel lessons.
The Bible Studies will be both in-person and live-streamed. So you may choose: Attend the series in-person at Trinity Church,
Sarnia or watch it online. (Unfortunately, for technical reasons, we cannot do this on Zoom so those at home will not be able to
have the discussion following.) We will be observing all the appropriate Covid-19 Protocols for the in-person sessions. We do hope
many will share in this study one way or the other. It is so much better if you pre-register.
The Bible Studies will be on Wednesdays from 10:00 AM to 11:30 (We previously announced an evening time – but by popular
request the time is revised.) The format for our weekly sessions:
